| 1 | 頃襄王二... : | 頃襄王二十年，秦白起拔楚西陵，或拔鄢、郢、夷陵，燒先王之墓。王徙東北，保於陳城。楚遂削弱，為秦所輕。於是白起又將兵來伐。楚人有黃歇者，遊學博聞，襄王以為辯，故使於秦。說昭王曰：「天下莫強於秦、楚，今聞大王欲伐楚，此猶兩虎點斗而駑犬受其弊，不如善楚。臣請言其說、臣聞之：『物至而反，冬夏是也。致至而危，累棋是也。』今大國之地半天下，有二垂，此從生民以來，萬乘之地未嘗有也。先帝文王、莊王，王之身，三世而不接地於齊，以絕從親之要。今王三使盛橇守事於韓，成橇以北入燕。是王不用甲，不伸威，而出百里之地，王可謂能矣。 |
