9  | 生平精力絕人，自少至老無一刻離書。所撰「天下郡國利病書」一百二十卷，歷覽諸史、圖經、實錄、文編、說部之類，取其關於民生利病者；且周流西北歷二十年，其書始成。別有「肇域志」一編，則考索利病之餘，合圖經而成者。好言韻學，撰「音論」三卷、「詩本音」十卷，主明陳第詩無協韻之說；不與吳棫本音爭，亦全不用補音之例。但即本經之韻互考，且証以他書，明古音原作是讀，非有遷就，故曰本音。又即「周易」以求古音，作「易音」三卷。又「唐韻正」二十卷、「韻補正」一卷、「古音表」二卷：皆能追複三代以來之音，分部正帙而知其變；自吳才老而下廓如也。謂金石之文可証經史，撰「金石文字記」、「求古錄」。以杜預「左傳集解」時有闕失，作「杜解補正」三卷。其它著作，有「石經考」、「二十一史年表」、「歷代帝王宅京記」、「亭林文集」、「詩集」、「營平二州地名記」、「昌平山水記」、「山東考古錄」、「譎觚」、「菰中隨筆」、「救文格論」等書，並有補於學術世道。每游，以二馬、二騾載書自隨。所至厄塞，呼老兵退卒詢曲折；或與平昔所聞不合，即坊肆中發書對勘之。或徑行平原大野無足留意，則於鞍上默誦諸經注疏；遺忘，則發書熟複之。 |
