8  | 通篇總是責管仲不能臨歿薦賢。起伏照應，開闔抑揚。立論一層深一層，引證一段緊一段。似此卓識雄文，方能令古人心服。 |
| 3 | 天下之患，最不可为者，名为治平无事，而其实有不测之忧。暗说景帝时诸侯强大。坐观其变，而不为之所，则恐至于不可救。开。起而强为之，则天下狃钮。于治平之安，而不吾信。狃，习也。○阖。暗说晁错建言削诸侯。惟仁人君子豪杰之士，为能出身为天下犯大难，以求成大功。三句为一篇关键。此固非勉强期月之间，而苟以求名之所能也。暗说晁错非其伦。○一段是冒。天下治平，暗说景帝时。无故而发大难之端。暗说削七国。吾发之，吾能收之，然后有辞于天下。所谓出身犯难。事至而循循焉欲去之，暗说错居守。使他人任其责。暗说使天子将。则天下之祸，必集于我。暗说诛错。○一段是承。○以上两段，摄尽通篇大意。 |
