4  | 若我心真能與天下同休同戚、同安同危，如伊尹，一夫不被其澤，若己推而納之溝中。其次如范仲淹，自做秀才時先天下懮而懮、後天下樂而樂。默而省之有否？又降而自貶，國人競為善，吾能奮然起而當之，聲實與之相副。默而省之有否？又降而再自貶，一鄉人競為善，吾能奮然起而當之，志氣與之相副。默而省之有否？又況於一鄉人漫不為善，吾於是奮力為倡首；國人漫不為善，吾於是奮力為倡首；天下人漫不為善，吾於是奮力為倡首；千百年漫不知正學，吾於是奮力續不傳之緒。默而省之有否？人能是而吾不能是，性能是而吾志不能是，天之所賦能是而吾自為功不能是，誠可慨也。 |
