85  | 民亦勞止，汔可小康。惠此中國，以綏四方。傳汔，危也。中國，京師也。四方，諸夏也。箋汔，幾也。康、綏，皆安也。惠，愛也。今周民罷勞矣，王幾可以小安之乎？愛京師之人以安天下。京師者，諸夏之根本。無縱詭隨，以謹無良。式遏寇虐，憯不畏明。傳詭隨，詭人之善、隨人之惡者。以謹無良，慎小以懲大也。憯，曾也。箋謹，猶慎也。良，善；式，用；遏，止也。王為政，無聽於詭人之善不肯行而隨人之惡者，以此勑慎無善之人，又用此止為寇虐，曾不畏敬明白之刑罪者，疾時有之。柔遠能邇，以定我王。傳柔，安也。箋能，猶侞也。邇，近也。安遠方之國，順侞其近者，當以此定我國家，為王之功。言我者，同姓親也。 |
