《卷四十·張陳王周傳第十》
36  | 其後，楚急擊，絕漢甬道，圍漢王於滎陽城。漢王患之，請割滎陽以西和。項王弗聽。漢王謂平曰：「天下紛紛，何時定乎？」平曰：「項王為人，恭敬愛人，士之廉節好禮者多歸之。至於行功賞爵邑，重之，師古曰：「言愛惜之。」士亦以此不附。今大王嫚而少禮，士之廉節者不來；然大王能饒人以爵邑，士之頑頓耆利無耻者亦多歸漢。如淳曰：「頑頓，謂無廉隅也。」師古曰：「頓讀曰鈍。耆讀曰嗜。」誠各去兩短，集兩長，天下指麾即定矣。大王資㑄人，師古曰：「資謂天性也。㑄，古侮字。」不能得廉節之士。顧楚有可亂者，師古曰：「顧，念也。」彼項王骨鯁之臣亞父、鍾離眛、龍且、周殷之屬，師古曰：「眛音秣。且音子閭反。」不過數人耳。大王能出捐數萬斤金，行反閒，間其君臣，以疑其心，師古曰：「間音居莧反。」項王為人意忌信讒，必內相誅。漢因舉兵而攻之，破楚必矣。」漢王以為然，乃出黃金四萬斤予平，恣所為，不問出入。 |
