《南史》曰：元帝避建鄴而都江陵，外廹強敵，內失人和。魏師至，方徴兵四方，未至而城見尅，在幽逼，求酒飲之，製詩四絶，後為梁王詧所害。

南風且絶唱，西陵最可悲。今日還蒿里，終非封禪時。人生逢百六，天道異貞恒。何言異螻蟻，一旦損鯤鵬，松風侵曉哀，霜雰當夜來。寂寥千載後，誰畏軒轅臺。夜長無歳月，安知秋與春！原陵五樹杏，空得動耕人」。宣帝諱詧，字理孫，昭明太子之第三子也。幼好學，善屬文，尤長佛義。普通中，封岳陽王。後除西中郎將、雍州刺史。侯景作亂，詧及其兄河東王譽構隙於元帝，元帝攻殺譽。詧遂臣於西魏求援。時周文帝為相，遣兵平江陵，命詧主梁嗣，資以江陵之地。詧稱帝於其國，年號大定，在位八年終。建除詩。
