抱朴子養生論抱朴子曰:一人之身,一國之象也。胸腹之設,猶宮室也。肢體之位,猶郊境也。骨節之分,猶百官也。賸理之問,猶四衢也。神猶君也,血猶臣也,猶民也,故至人能治其身,亦如明主能治其國。夫愛其民,所以安其國。愛其,所以全其身。民弊國亡,衰身謝。是以至人上士,乃施藥於未病之前,不追修於既敗之後。故知生難保而易散,難清而易濁。若能審機權,可以制嗜慾,保全性命。且夫善養生者,先除六害,然後可以延駐於百年。何者是耶?一日薄名利,二日禁聲色,三日廉貨財,四日損滋味,五曰除佞妄,六曰去沮嫉。六者不除,修養之道徒設爾。蓋綠未見其益,雖心希妙道,口念真經,咀嚼英華,呼吸景象,不能補其短促。誠綠捨其本而忘其末,深可誠哉。所以保和全真者,乃少思、少念、少笑、少言、少喜、少怒、少樂、少愁、少好、少惡、少事、少機。夫多思則神散,多念則心勞,多笑則藏腑上翻,多言則海虛脫,多喜則膀胱納客風,多怒則勝理奔血,多樂則心神邪蕩,多愁則頭貴憔枯,多好則志傾縊,多惡則精爽奔騰,多事則筋脈乾急,多機則智慮沉迷。斯乃伐人之生甚於斤斧,損人之命猛於豺狼。無久坐,無久行,無久視,無久聽。不飢勿強食,不渴勿強飲。不飢強食則脾勞,不渴強飲則胃脹。體欲常勞,食欲常少。勞勿過極,少勿至飢。冬朝勿空心,夏夜勿飽食。早起不在鸚嗚前,晚起不在日出後,心內澄則真神守其位,內定則邪物去其身。行欺詐則神悲,行爭競則神沮。輕侮於人當臧算,殺害於物必傷年。行一善則魂神樂,搆一惡則魄神歡魄神樂死,魂神好生。常以寬泰自居,恬啖自守,則身形安靜,災害不干。生錄必書其名,死籍必削其咎。養生之理,盡於此矣。至於煉還丹以補腦,化金液以留神,斯乃上真之妙道,蓋非食穀啖血者,越分而修之。萬人之中,得者殊少,深可誠焉。
