56  | 复前户部尚书夏原吉官。初，大行皇帝凶问至之三日，首释原吉于颂系，慰劳之，咨以国事。至是，复其官，赐冠带、衣服、被褥、帐帏咸备，原吉言：「臣在系时，丧母未克成服，又未殡，乞赐归葬，且终忧制。臣事升下之日未艾也。」上曰：「卿老成人，今国有大丧，正望相与共济艰难，安得遽去？卿云有丧服，我无丧服乎？」遂留赞辅，赐原吉米十石，钞一万贯，胡椒一百斤，令遣家属护母丧归葬，仍命兵部给驿舟，有司治葬事。 |
