64  | 锦衣卫指挥使王节等奏：「比来校尉上直屡失所悬铜牌，铜牌，所凭关防出入者，请治之以惩。」上曰：「昨日下诏，赦有罪，今日递罪赦前事，何以示信？其勿治。」遂谕六科及三法司曰：「令信则民从，不信则民贰，国家使人，用信为本，故昨日降诏，惓惓在信，尔等各务遵守，毋致朕食言，以失人心。」 |
| 84 | 上以文官员冗，命吏部汰之，曰：「古称官不必备惟其人，今过冗矣，且贤否廉污，混殽无别，廉污无别，则廉者之心或怠，君子小人并处，则小人之势常胜，且老病昏懦之人在位，徒糜廪禄，何裨政理？其在內诸司令堂上正官，在外令巡按监察御史及按察司明公廉察，凡贤材者留，其贪刻庸鄙及老疾者，悉送吏部罢之，自今吏部宜精选，勿滥。」 |
