詔毀身療親疾者，不得旌表初，洪武中，禮部定議，凡人子臥氷刲股者，不在旌表例。至是，總旗衛整女母病篤，刲肝煮液，母飲之而愈。禮部特為請旌，帝曰：「孝親有道，剖腹刲肝，豈可為孝？若因此傷生，其罪益大。女子無知，不必加罪」。所請不允。
