5  | 夫持論之難，不在出入風議，臧否人群，獨持理議禮為劇。出入風議，臧否人群，文士所優為也。持理議禮，非擅其學莫能至。自唐以降，綴文者在彼不在此。觀其流勢，洋洋纚纚，即實不過數語。又其持論不本名家，外方陷敵，內則亦以自僨。惟劉秩、沈既濟、杜佑差無盈辭，持理者獨劉、柳論天為勝，其餘並廣居自恣之言也。宋又愈不及唐，濟以嘩訁貴。近世或欲上法六代。然上不窺六代學術之本，惟欲厲其末流。江統《徙戎》，陸機《辨亡》，干寶《晉紀》，以為駿極不可上矣。自餘能事，盡於送往事居，不失倨侮。以甄名理，則僻違而無類；以議典憲，則支離而不馴。 |
