8  | 赤螭、青虯之㳺冀州也，天清地定，毒獸不作，飛鳥不駭入榡，薄食薦梅，噆味含甘，歩不出頃畝之區而蛇鱓輕之，以為不能與之爭於江海之中，若乃至於𤣥雲之素朝，隂陽交争，降扶風雜，凍雨扶揺而登之，威動天地，聲震海內，蛇鱓着泥，百仭之中，熊羆匍匐，丘山磛巖，虎豹襲穴而不敢咆，猨狖顛蹶而失木枝，又況直蛇鱓之類乎？鳳凰之翔，至徳也，雷震不作，風雨不興，川谷不澹，草木不揺而燕雀，佼之以為不能與之争於宇宙之間，逮至其曽逝萬仭之上，翺翔四海之外，過崑崙之疏圃，飲砥柱之湍瀨，邅回濛汜之渚，徜徉冀州之際，徑躡都廣，入日抑節，羽翼弱水，暮宿風穴，當此之時，鴻鵠鶬鸖，莫不憚驚伏竄，注啄江裔，又況直燕雀之類乎？此明於小動之迹，而不知大節之所由者也。 |
