24  | 初，鄭之起革命軍於惠州也，壯士群集大鵬灣附近之三州田山寨，靜以待命。乃舉事之期，一再遷延，風傳至廣州，兩廣總督已派兵深圳、淡水以備之。已而官軍至沙灣，將攻三州田之山寨，於是革命軍乘夜襲擊，官軍二百潰走。會孫有電命，因取道東北向廈門，戰勝於佛子坳，擒將杜鳳梧，奪獲洋槍七百枝。是時投效者之多，幾及五千，然肩槍者僅千餘人，餘皆持竹槍戈矛以從。進至永湖，破官軍五千，提督劉萬負傷，奪獲洋槍五六百枝，子彈萬顆。復進攻白芒花，投效者益多，約萬餘人。再進至崩崗，與官軍七千隔河而陣，交戰徹夜，擊走之。方將向三多祝進攻，至梅林，孫忽自港傳電，謂形勢一變，外援難期，至廈門恐無接濟之途，軍事乞司令自決進止。於是鄭留肩槍之兵千餘人，餘則解散，隱以休軍。官軍探知之，猛加追擊，遂至全軍潰散。 |
