詩話：王道思官司封郎，為當國者所不恱，謫判毘陵。嘉靖乙未三月之望，朝士出餞於海淀者八人：唐順之、應德、陳束約之、張元孝、少室李遂邦良、李開先、伯華熊、過叔仁、吕髙山甫，其一則用宣也。海淀在阜成門外，其地為張昌國園林。昌國罹禍之後，亭臺悉圯，諸公置酒為之不樂，惟用宣詩先成所云「絃管不隨流水奏，綺羅應化暮雲飛」者是也。夏桂洲聞之，遂劾元孝，遂二司官無事，漫遊竟下獄，七人者相次罷謫，惟用宣幸免爾。何元朗述顧東橋赴嚴分，宜飲升堂，竞上産酒，行嫌冷不堪，既昜酒至，又嫌太熱指，顧揮霍不知有主人，而分宜執禮愈恭，因謂使桂洲當此，則東橋不免，有䨇江之禍矣，葢嚴、夏皆媢嫉，而當時之論，若似乎夏之傾䧟，有甚於嚴者。觀伯華海淀詩序，則桂洲、西市之禍，朝士未始不有快意者矣。
