6  | 韓棱為尚書令，在朝數薦舉良吏，應順、呂章、周紆等皆有名當時。陳忠為尚書，安帝始親朝事。忠以為臨政之初，宜徵聘賢才，以宣助風化。數上薦隱逸及直道之士馮良、周燮、杜根、成翊世之徒。於是公車禮、聘、良、燮等，司徒劉愷致仕。會太尉馬英策罷，忠上疏薦。愷曰：「臣聞三公上則台階，下象山岳，股肱元首，鼎足居職，協和陰陽，調訓五品，考功量才，以序庶僚。遭烈風，不迷遇，迅雷不惑，位莫重焉。而今上司缺職，未議其人。臣竊差次諸卿，考合眾議，咸稱太常朱倀、少府荀遷、臣父寵、前參司空倀、遷並為掾屬，具知其能，倀能說其經書，而用心褊狹遷嚴毅剛直而薄於藝文。伏見前司徒劉愷，沈重淵懿，道德博備，克讓爵土，致祚弱弟，躬浮闃志。兼浩然之氣，頻歷二司，舉動得禮，以疾致仕，側身里巷，處約思純，進退有度，百僚景式，海內歸懷。往者孔光師丹，近世鄧彪，張薪栽紫喔，蔥蟶纖境，弦思蛄紛，懇煲匝嶂。諭書奏，詔引愷拜太尉周興為郎中。興少有名譽，忠又上疏薦興曰：「臣伏惟古者帝王有所號令，言必弘雅，辭必溫麗，垂於後世，列於經典。故仲尼嘉唐、虞之文章，從周室之郁郁。臣竊見光祿郎周興，孝友之行，著於閨門，清厲之志，聞於州里。蘊櫝古今博物，多聞《三墳》之篇，五典之策，無所不覽。屬文著辭，有可觀採。尚書出納帝命，為王喉舌臣。策既愚ウ，而諸郎多文俗吏，鮮有雅才。每為詔文，宣示內外，轉相求請，或以不能而專已。自繇辭多鄙，固興抱奇懷能，隨輩棲遲，誠可歎惜」。詔乃拜興為尚書郎。 |
