7  | 一二三與壹貳叁同古書及漢人用字，如一之與壹，二之與貳，三之與叁，其義皆同。《鳲鳩序》：「刺不壹也。」又云：「用心之不壹也。」而正文「其儀一兮」。《表記》：「節以壹惠。」注：「言聲譽雖有眾多者，節以其行一大善者為諡耳。」漢《華山碑》：「五載壹巡狩。」《祠孔廟碑》：「恢崇壹變。」《祝睦碑》：「非禮，壹不得犯。」而後碑云：「非禮之常，一不得當。」則與壹通用也。《孟子》：「市價不貳。」趙歧注云：「無二賈者也。」本文用大貳字，注用小二字，則二與貳通用也。《易．繫辭》：「參天兩地。」《釋文》云：「參，七南反。又如字，音三。」《周禮》：「設其參。」注：「參，謂卿三人。」則三與參通用也。九之與久，十之與拾，百之與伯亦然。予頃在英州，訪鄰人利秀才。利新作茅齋，頗淨潔，從予乞名。其前有兩高松，因為誦《藍田壁記》，命之曰「二松」。其季請曰：「是使大貳字否？」坐者皆曬。蓋其人不知書，信口輒言，以貽譏笑。若以古字論之，亦未為失也。文惠公名流杯亭曰「一詠」，而彩借隸法，扁為「壹詠」，讀者多以為疑，顧第弗深考耳。 |
