王景字常齋，松陽縣人。洪武中，為山西㕘政，與布政使㑹㮷、韓宜可同坐事，謫雲南，後召宜可為副都御史，景與修《髙廟實録》，陞翰林侍講。永樂初，進陞學士。景博學，以古文自名，亦善於筆札。王彰鄭州人，博學有才望，洪武中，領鄉薦，入太學，初授吏科給事中，歴陞山西左㕘政，入為禮部右侍郎，尋調户部，累陞右都御史，人莫敢干以私。時劉觀為左都御史，用法之公人，以彰為優云王冕字元章，越人，磊落有大志，穿曵地，袍翩翩，行兩袂軒翥下。東吳渡江，入淮、楚，北抵燕都，歴覽名山川，捜訪奇才。俠客談古豪傑事，呼酒悲歌，隠山谷中，著書一卷，坐臥輙隨，祕不使人觀，曰：「吾未即死，持此以遇明主」。
