絰而往。	he went in the headband and robe of mourning.
子游吊焉，	Zi-you paid a similar visit;
主人既小斂，	and, when the chief mourner had completed the slight dressing,
子游出，	he went out,
絰反哭，	put on the bands, returned and wailed.
子夏曰：	Zi-xia said to him,
「聞之也與？」	'Did you ever hear (that) that (was the proper method to observe)?
曰：「聞諸夫子，	I heard the Master say,' was the reply,
主人未改服，	'that until the chief mourner had changed his dress,
則不絰。」	one should not assume the mourning bands'.'
