| Qu Li I: | When a young lady is promised in marriage, she wears the strings (hanging down to her neck); and unless there be some great occasion, no (male) enters the door of her apartment. When a married aunt, or sister, or daughter returns home (on a visit), no brother (of the family) should sit with her on the same mat or eat with her from the same dish. (Even) the father and daughter should not occupy the same mat. |

《礼·曲礼上》曰：群居五人，则长者必异席。席以四人为节。为人子者坐不中席。 又曰：有忧者侧席而坐。侧犹持也。有丧者专席而坐。专犹单也。侍坐于所尊，敬无馀席。必尽其近者，尊之端，为其后来也。 又曰：姑娣妹女子子，己嫁而反，兄弟不与同席而坐，不与同器而食。 又曰：奉席如桥居庙切横。奉之令左昂右低，如有首尾。然，桥井上㮮槔，衡上低昂。请席何向？请衽何趾？顺尊者所安也，衽，卧席也，坐问向，卧向趾，因于阴阳也。席南向北向以西方为上，东向西向以南方为上。若非饮食之客，则布席，席间函丈。谓讲问客也。函犹容也。讲问宜相对容丈，足以指画也。饮食之客。布席于牖前。主人跪正席，客跪抚席而辞，客彻重席，主人固辞，客践席乃坐。 |
