166  | 韓琦，字稚圭，安陽人，國華子，風骨秀異。天聖初，舉進士第二，方臚唱時，太史奏闕下，五色雲見。初授將作監丞，累遷陜西四路經畧安撫招討使，與范仲淹在兵間乆，名震一時，朝廷倚以為重，天下稱為韓、范」。後與富弼同心輔政，復稱韓富。慶厯中，仁宗開天章閣，召大臣八人，給紙筆，訪以政事，𤦺與仲淹、富弼、杜衍等同預顧問，石介因獻《慶厯得賢。頌至和中，以武康之節來治相州，嘉祐元年，入秉國政，垂紳正笏，不動聲色，而措天下於治平。神宗即位，封魏國公。琦歴相三帝，嘉祐、治平間，再決大策，以安社稷，在英廟初，太后臨朝乆，不還政，琦奏事簾前，因力求去，以諷太后，太后不得已，許即日還宮，琦即厲聲，命儀鸞司撤簾還政，天子宦官任守忠離間兩宮，幾成禍，階、琦預備空頭勅，召守忠至政事堂，立遣之，出入將相勲名所被，遠人想其丰采，天下以其身為安危，卒年六十八，神宗震悼，輟朝三日，篆其碑曰「兩朝顧命定策元勲」，贈尚書令，諡曰忠獻，配享英宗廟庭。徽宗時，以定策功，追贈魏郡王。 |
