15  | 八月，夷船自天津起碇，其兵船半踞定海，半赴廣東，詔授琦善欽差大臣赴粵查辦，革林則徐、鄧廷楨之職，赴粵聽勘，并飭沿海各省，不得開炮。九月義律回至定海，入見伊里布於鎮海城，索俘夷安突德。及七月間餘姚所獲黑白夷數十人，不果而去。伊里布於是遣其奴張喜赴夷船，餽牛酒，首賀以林、鄧革職之事。酋伯麥搖首曰：「林、公、自、是、中、國、好總督，有血性，有才氣，但不悉外國情形耳。斷鴉片煙可，斷貿易不可，貿易斷則我國無以為生，不得不全力以爭，通商豈為仇總督而來耶？」是時直隸、山東爭以夷情恭順入告，山東巡撫托渾布遣人饋夷船歸，至有「各夷向岸羅拜」之奏，而廣東裁撤水師之船，已半途為夷船劫虜矣。署總督怡良奏聞。 |
