本朝劉廣業字爾勤，安福人。順治進士。少失，恃事繼母極孝。家貧，為塾師，每月析修金為三十封寄其妻，使日持其一市甘㫖。遭父喪，兵至其鄉，見廣業衰絰，抱木主不舍，曰：「是孝子也！」乃得免。張貞生，字幹臣，廬陵人。順治十五年，會試第一，選庻吉士，授編修。遷國子司業。造士有方，官至侍講學士。性恬澹，研精理學，構誠意書院，與郡人講論其中。學者稱簣山先生著庸書、唾居隨録、王山遺響若干巻、李振裕字維饒，吉水人，康熙進士，由庶吉士厯官刑、工、戶、禮四部尚書致仕。嘗督學江南，所賞拔皆一時才俊察賑，畿輔全活甚多。奏免江西浮賦，振裕有力焉彭殿元字上虎，廬陵人。康熙進士，選庶吉士，授編修。與修明史，主順天鄉試，所取多名士，未幾罷官。構薌谷小隠，潛心講學數十年。郭開圗吉水人，性孝友，嘗佐父耕田，猝遇虎，以身衛父，奮力格之，虎卒遁去。母亡，宿母墓，父病，乃歸侍。已而父殁，居廬三年，悲思無間，墓為暴水決衝，開圗乘駃流求棺不得，籲天禱神。俄至峽江，見沙阜●起掘之，果得親棺歸葬。與兄弟相友愛，宅産多推讓。又同邑解貞讓、廬陵劉景渤、黃伉生泰和、蕭道邇、蕭奇策、陳有奎、文慕道、歐陽暉、劉光秀、蕭學文、安福、歐陽崑、劉百卉、王爵賔、劉公驥，龍泉康良佐、永新盛國宜、李枝炯、戴光前、王志珍、唐素安，並於乾隆年間先後以孝行 旌表。
