4  | 盧象升、洪承疇、孫傳庭三人，允稱邊才，殺賊方當奏績，遽以勤王入援，而秉國者又移之邊方，或中以危法，遂使賊已潛復熾。雖天命，亦人事也。 |
| 6 | 宣大總督盧象升帥師勤王，至保定府賈莊，為奸人刺死，物議紛紛謂其亡有隨營打點。旗尉俞希龍下東廠太監王之心鞫。希龍極稱其忠勇有謀略，寔為刺客所中，手書遺疏而死。之心以為誑，嚴刑被拷，身無完膚，乃仰天歎曰：「國家若負盧公，再無忠臣矣。」言畢而死。野史謂象升死于松杏，夫松杏之敗在關外，乃洪承疇，非盧象升也。地之相去二千余里，時之相去四年有餘，而乃誤此人為彼人，混兩事為一事，可發一噱。 |
| 9 | 遼東松杏失利，洪承疇全軍覆沒，傳承疇死。上震悼，命禮部具儀，欽天監擇日設壇予祭，以慰忠魂，蔭一子錦衣衛千戶，世襲。即聞承疇降，遂罷祭，仍蔭其子。 |
