13  | 王延年，字介眉，钱塘人。雍正四年举人。乾隆初，举鸿博，后官国子监学政。十七年，会试，以耆年晋司业，赐翰林院侍讲衔。延年史学洽熟，尝补袁枢通鉴纪事本末，以原书不言田制，则度地居民之法亡；不言漕运，则凿渠引河之利塞；不言府兵，则耕牧战守之功隳。至于耶律鸱张辽海，而陈邦瞻书不究其终；党项虎视河、湟，薛应旗书不详其始。绍建安者又如此，不可不亟正之也。杭世骏序之，比延年于唐杜君卿、宋刘中原父云。晚年，大学士蒋溥、刘统勋皆以经学荐，又自进呈所著书，上嘉许焉。 |
