13  | 唐相國裴公坦，大和八年，李漢侍郎下及第。自以舉業未精，遽此叨忝，未嘗曲謝座主，辭歸鄠縣別墅。三年肄業，不入城。歲時恩地，唯啟狀而已，至於同年，鄰於謝絕，掩關勤苦，文格乃變。然始到京，重獻恩門文章，詞采典麗，舉朝稱之。後至大拜，為時名相也。夫世之干祿，先資名第，既得之後，鮮不替懈。自非篤於文學，省顧賓實者，安能及斯。裴公廟堂之期，有以見進德之無歝也。 |
