太常博士，職官名。始置於西漢初年，為太常寺屬官，官秩為六百石。漢初武帝採用公孫弘建議，設五經博士，《易》、《書》、《詩》、《禮》、《春秋》每經置一博士，故稱五經博士，為太常寺屬官，又稱太常博士。《史記·循吏列傳》中有「公儀休者，魯國博士也，以高等為魯相。」太常博士的職務是教弟子五經，兼掌選試之官。魏晉之後，太常博士為精於禮儀之人，其他還有術醫博士、醫藥博士。唐代，地位降低，從七品上。清代時，太常博士用於繕寫文牘，正七品。
